Presentation at the Forum on Sustainable Economic Zones in CAREC Countries
Project member Prof. Aradhna Aggarwal participated in the Forum on Sustainable Economic Zones in CAREC Countries held on September 13-14, 2022. The aim of the forum was to discuss the new generation of economic zones and share best practice experiences from the Central Asian region and beyond on attracting investment while promoting economic, social and environmental sustainability. Prof Aggarwal gave a presentation in the inaugural session and moderated another session on environmentally sustainable SEZs. The forum was attended by delegates from CAREC countries in addition to various development partners.
The Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program is a partnership of eleven countries (Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, China, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan) and development partners working together for economic development and poverty reduction in the region.
